You Mean It's A Band?
Happy birthday, Debbie Harry. She was the lead singer for Blondie. A lot of people thought she was Blondie, and they were probably right.

Damn you. Every time you put this up I spend four days watching Sunday Girl.
At least this time it's on a Sunday. So you spent a little time in the church of Blondie.
BLONDIE IS A BAND!
Keyboardist Jimmy Destri wrote half of their best songs, including "11:59". Even if you deleted the vocal track that would still be an awesome number.
Debbie herself co-wrote several songs, but usually that means she wrote the lyrics. So in terms of songwriting she wasn't central. In terms of arrangment, the drummer was the backbone of the band; he was also the only member who really excelled on his instrument.
Debbie Harry was a good singer, but it's not as if her singing style was so unique as to be the center of the band's style (unlike, say, Velvet Underground or Talking Heads).
For some reason, their first song "Platinum Blonde" wasn't included on their debut album, which meant that 99% of their fans never got the blonde joke that was behind the whole thing. Today the lawyers keep it off YouTube; here are the lyrics and here is a poor quality video from 1974.
Next thing you know you'll be claiming there's no Hootie.
