Have It Your Way
I have to admit, this is something new in the burger wars: Jack In The Box has ads suggesting competitors' angus burgers come from a cow's anus.
Now I find it hard to believe anyone will take this claim seriously. Are they simply hoping the association itself will be enough to turn people off?
(Of course, two can play at this game. Jack touts its sirloin burger. Do you really want meat from some sir's loin?)

There are certain times whenever the justice of your case, you just need to be quiet. A denial is more damaging than silence (unless its politics-cf. Swift Boaties, and John McCain's lovechild etc...). As a result of this lawsuit, far more people will talking about the Angus/anus connection than they would if it was just a silly little joke in a competitor's commercial (this is probably what Jack In The Box was hoping for). Will this heavily-invested marketing concept ("Angus Beef")will be damaged and ultimately abandoned? -depends on whether this is a Letterman/Leno joke or not- something about patties, perhaps
