Not Much Of A Secret

"Podhoretz secretly urged Bush to bomb Iran. "

Sort of the same concept as Larry David's "The Anonymous Donor."

I just have to say, that's the most incomprehensible plot summary I've ever read.

The irony is I looked at two other summaries to link to and I thought this one was the best.

Really I only cared about one point in the show--the "anonymous" donor" who lets his name be known, so gets all the credit for doing what he did with the extra bonus that he's allegedly doing it without asking for credit.

Podhoretz "secretly" gives Bush advice, but if he's the one who blabs about it (and I'm guessing he did), then it's not really secret.

No, the irony is that your point was clearest from your post to begin with. It wasn't necessary to read the plot summary to get the point, but boy, if you had found it necessary, would you have been in trouble.

I prefer short incomplete summaries which heighten interest- I would have gone with "Larry has adventures involving dry cleaning and semen"

I was aware I didn't have to link to Curb Your Enthusiasm to make the main point. But the Larry David connection added something--not only that it's not a secret, but that in general someone who claims there's a big secret but then tells others, is doing it for self-aggrandizement. Besides, it was a good episode.

Also, I didn't want my post to look like it came from ColumbusGuy.
