Philip Roth loses again. The Nobel goes to....Doris Lessing?
I like what crotchety critic Harold Bloom has to say: "pure political correctness....I find her work for the past 15 years quite unreadable ... fourth-rate science fiction."
The Literature Prize is becoming as big a joke as the Peace Prize.

A lot of accomplished people have a period of 15 years or more at the end of their careers that are not as stellar as what came before -- especially if they live into their '80's as Doris Lessing has. The prize is meant to reward the entire career. Even Harold Bloom recognized that her earlier work was important.
