Bingo!
Over at my favorite Scrabble site, there were two chances for bingos with 9x scores. In the bottom right going down you had an E on the seventh square between two triple-word scores, and on the top right across you had an L in the seventh square between two triple-word scores.
Here were the letters in the rack: E R R B O H I. What can you make of it?
I'll let you think a while....
...okay, here's the answer. HORRIBLE across. That's worth a whopping 176 points--highest score ever on this site.
The new rack is S S W I R E T K. Any suggestions?

Slip one of the tiles back before your opponent notices you took eight.
Good point. An extra R slipped in there, somehow.
Though it does occur to me that taking extra tiles is an excellent way of winning at Scrabble.
"Stewkies" and make'em challenge you
Herrings are Red
Stewkies are blue
Samphire’s Sweet
and so are you.

"Stewkies" would be worth 250 points. A great score, but certain to be challenged.
Too bad the farm poet can't spell. The word refers to (As its usually spelled) Stewkey Blue Cockles "Stewkey" being the way residents of the isle of Stiffkey pronounce the name of their island- go figure.
Its also a derivative shortening of Stewkey Blue Cockles (equivalent to calling jaguars "jags") and a proper name- not up on the rules but I don't think the Gods of Scrabble will permit.
Has anyone ever had a Stewkey Blue Cockle? (OK whats a cockle?- I only know they are better if they're alive, alive-oh)
