When I saw the clip, I thought his question was utterly disingenuous, yes. But if you think not, that gives me pause. I'll review and get back to you.
On further review, liar is a pretty strong word, but I think it's accurate. The premise of his question was "I'm getting ready to buy a company that makes two hundred fifty, um, about two hundred seventy, two hundred eighty thousand dollars a year." I think he made that $250k number up because of what he's heard on tv, then thought quickly "no, wait, it's OVER 250 that he's raising, so let me jack it up" and then said 270, 280. From what I've read, the company's never made that much. It was a fictional scenario he created and presented as though it were a fact. That's lying.
