Kate The Great
I'd heard this week's Big Bang Theory would feature Katie Sackhoff. Previously, the show had a guest shot by Summer Glau. I was worried they might be straining credulity by having the guys run into too many sf hotties, but it turned out a very sexy Sackhoff played Howard's imaginary tub-mate.
I wonder who'll be next?

Without question, the guys on "THE BIG BANG THEORY" run into too many hotties, sf or not.
Raj, without ever saying a word, ended up in bed with a hottie from a Halloween party across the hall, Howard had a sex-for-room-and-board arrangement with a stunning out-of-towner, and even Sheldon's sister (especially Sheldon's sister) is off-the-charts hot.
"BIG BANG" indeed.
Ironically, the series-premise "hottie" Kaley Cuoco is often the least hot of all.
This probability-defying presence of hotties on "BIG BANG" is easily explained, however. One only has to look at "TWO AND A HALF MEN", also created by Chuck Lorre, to see the antecedent. It's somewhat to be expected with Charlie (Charlie Sheen), who plays a good-looking womanizer, but even Alan the nebbish (Jon Cryer) usually ends up bedding women way, WAY beyond his ken.
Obviously, it's a formula that works. No doubt the half man (teen Jake) will soon start meeting cute with young sightless supermodels.
In the meantime, the real life guys at Caltech/JPL can continue to watch "THE BIG BANG THEORY" and laugh in recognition...
...except whenever a girl shows up on screen...
...at which point every episode becomes titled, "The Quantum Hottie Improbability."

You have to give the demographic hope or its too depressing despite the wit.
Generally TV shows are full of dumpy guys with way too hot partners (According to Jim, Gary Unmarried)
"Generally TV shows are full of dumpy guys with way too hot partners"
That's because Hollywood is full of dumpy guys with way too hot partners.
Are the ex-wives in Gary unmarried and 2 1/2 men twins? Hollywood has decided that shrill skinny skanky is the look for exes
That formula (dumpy + hotties) has worked since at least Three's Company.
I think it started with Bob Newhart (paired with Susan Pleshette). Unless you think Fred Flintstone didn't deserve Wilma.
Well, we know Ralph Kramden didn't deserve Alice.
