Man Of Steel
It's Stalin's birthday. Hardly a time for celebration (except maybe that he's gone). If you've got to make a list of history's bad guys, he's like Citizen Kane--gotta be somewhere high on it.
I recently ran across this footage. I'd never heard him speak before. For some reason, I thought he be a more fiery orator. I guess he saved his fire for all those purges.

I suppose when your options include changing your performance and shooting your audience, it's vastly easier to shoot your audience. Plus you get better New York Times reviews, so it's a twofer.
He's always made to llok large and commanding in pictures when he was in reality short and dumpy and pock-marked to boot- one of the early appreciators of propaganda i n pictures. If wasn't a Russian communist probably would have been a legendary Hollywood agent.
