JC

Happy birthday, Jackie Chan, the greatest action star of our time.  It's really not fair to call him an action star, though.  He's closer to a dancer, like Gene Kelly, or a comedian, like Harold Lloyd.

Here's a collection of Jackie's favorite stunts.  Please note that while he does take certain precautions, he really is doing his own stunts and they are very dangerous.  The man has broken every bone in his body.

These stunts may mean a lot to him personally, but I can easily think of twenty or thirty sequences which are as good or better.  His best stuff, as the video hints at, are actually a series of related stunts where he's able to build up a head of steam.

You could probably pick ten stuntws from Project A Part II alone that are as good as these.

Not sure what project A is, but these are pretty good stunts.

Can you really think of 20 or 30 sequences? That's bespeaks of some impressive brainpower. I can't think of 30 menu items. Well, I probably could, but it would be a disturbing amount of work and I'd hate to see my error rate.

Assuming that this is truly his own list of favorites, I am amazed that really none showcased his martial artistry.

To Anon #2: Jackie Chan has stunt sequences the same way Fred Astaire has musical numbers. Since I've seen about every film he's starred in, it's not that hard to think of 20 or 30.
