The Reverend

It's a week late, but let's celebrate the 65th birthday of the top soul singer of our time, Al Green.

I'd like to hear of a better soul singer in the last 40 years.

How can it be about looks? Al Green made it on radio, in the years before MTV.

I said in the last 40 years. James Brown's heyday as a soul singer was the 50s and 60s. By the 70s, it was more funk.

I'd go with Otis Clay over Al.
