Crowded

Hey, free pastrami at Langer's if you drop by this weekend.  I never get pastrami, but this is literally the best pastrami sandwich in the country.

Better than Zingerman's, eh? For $32 it'd better be. (Did you enjoy Five Year Engagement? Loved it at the dollar theater.)

32 bucks? I just checked the menu and you must be referring to the "Pastrami Platter" which includes chopped liver, Swiss cheese, French fries, baked beans, cole slaw, tomato and pickle, and, I assume, quite a bit of pastrami. The sandwich plain is $13.50--not cheap, but not an outrage.

I've never tried the pastrami at Zingerman's. As I said, I generally don't eat it. In fact, the only reason I tried Langer's is years ago I read something in a magazine that called it the best pastrami in the world. I gave it a shot and have to agree.

I'm not sure if I blogged about The Five-Year Engagement. I save a lot of my modern movie stuff for the annual wrap-up. I didn't think the movie was that great but I loved seeing so much Ann Arbor, including Zingerman's.
