I Always Think Of Breaking Bad When I Think Of New Mexico.

Yesterday I put up some maps about state stereotypes.  Here's another fun U.S. map that lists a TV show for every state (though some of them I question--Hill Street Blues could be in Chicago, but it could be other places as well).  For some states there were only so many choices, but places like California and New York have so many shows who knows where to begin.

Yes, but who thinks of The Virginian when they think of Wyoming?

South Park, while nominally set in Colorado, I don't think of as set in Colo. because it is such a fanatsyland. I would have gone with Mork & Mindy or Last Man Standing (boths et in Boulder).

So Virginia City is in Nevada?

South Park is very Colorado- at least as much as Family Guy is Rhode Island. Community is apparently also Colorado though I was thinking it was Indiana or downstate Illinois. Parks & Rec is a better Indiana choice and The Office is better on for PA

I think Apple's Way is better for Iowa than some reality show. NY and CA should have multiple entries. Buffalo Bill would be a good one for upstate NY. All in the Family for Queens, yeah Seinfeld would beat The Jeffersons for Manhattan (How close were the two apartments?)

You're all wrong, Colorado should by Dynasty.

Louisiana is True Blood, but it could now be True Detective.

Florida wishes it were Miami Vice, but it's really Golden Girls.

It'd be good if Maine had MASH, since Hawkeye spent so much time talking about Crabapple Cove.

Some of these, like Jersey Shore and The Grand Old Opry, are bad ideas. They should all be fictional versions of the states.

And where does The Simpsons take place?

Springfield. Duh.

What I want to know is, why "Family Ties" and not "Third Rock from the Sun"?
