It would have been interesting to see and hear how his music would have gone.
Think of all those who were big then and did not die.
Buddy Holly was different. He was sort of a second generation rocker, or at least one and a half. He may have pointed in the new direction. He may have just done great rock or he may have become another Dylan.
I think he may have been another Dion DiMucci, who traveled through the different sounds and was able to put up interesting and important songs well into the sixties. But I think Buddy would have gone further. Would he have gone as far as tape loops and other beatlesque stylings? Maybe. But it would have been interesting to see what he did in that milieu.
