This Is My Lucky Day!
I may be away from the blog for a while. I just received an email from the United Kingdom Lottery Company. It seems I've won 850,000 pounds sterling, so I might go out there to pick it up. All they need is for me to send them a bunch of personal information and I can claim my prize.

I've been receiving about two or three of those a day for about a month-sometimes its the Nigerian lottery or a Royal Dutch Shell prize (and once it was a disaffected British commando in Basra who got his hands on either some Old Saddam treasure or unrestricted US aid dollars who was going to let me skim 70%) - I thought I was getting these because I won a legitimate sports contest for the Boston Globe in October(take that, those of you who didn't like my post season predictions) and the bastards printed my email address online. Up until then, I had been getting surprisingly little spam this year and naively thought the war had been won. But I guess the Nigerians (or whomever) have opened a new front.
