Regarding this week's Democratic debate, the headlines everywhere said "The Gloves Are Off." I think they missed the real story.
Of course Obama and Clinton (and Edwards) clashed--they're in a tight race. The real scary part was when they all agreed with each other.

A Daily Show had a terrific compilation of the approximately 15 times reporters had said "the gloves are off" about Obama & Clinton, going back to February 2007.
Limbaugh does this routinely. It's astounding how readily these professional communicators default to the same language.
What I find scary is when Rush Limbaugh agrees with Jon Stewart.
