Let's Keep This Neighborhood Friendly

There's going to be a Spider-Man musical on Broadway. Julie Taymor will direct, and rumor has it she'll reunite with her Across The Universe duo Evan Rachel Wood and Jim Sturgess. There they sang The Beatles, but this show will have a score by Bono and the Edge.

I don't care how fancy the package is, if it doesn't have this tune...

I won't go.

Except for the bridge, the theme song is perfect 12-bar blues -- punctuated with occasional jazz horns.

The old Batman theme song was a variation on 12-bar blues.

Most theme songs back in those days didn't draw from pop music, did they?

He stops in mid-swing to catch a girder, then continues swinging up. I can buy a bite from a radioactive spider giving him superpowers, but where did he learn to defy the laws of gravity?

In the comic book and everything up to the first movie, Peter Parker is a science nerd who invents the web material and makes it part of his costume. In the movies, it's simply part of his new superpowers.
