I don't particularly care about what Chris Matthews muttered before Bobby Jindal spoke on Tuesday. What I don't get is why he thinks his explanation makes it better.

I don't really think he is trying to make it better by explanation. He was just explaining why. He's made clear he doesn't buy into the whole pretending to objectivity thing.
It was silly stagecraft and I think I muttered the same thing to myself
The question is did Mathews ever mutter this when Obama has pulled this sort of stuff over and over. The answer is he's said how wonderful it is every time.
Exactly-Thats not exactly a newsflash- Mathews makes no pretense of not playing favorites
MSNBC is the liberals' answer to FOX. Neither side makes a pretense of being objective.
Actually, both claim to be objective. At least Fox doesn't mix its anchors with its analysts, and regularly has opposing viewpoints on.
