It Takes Two

I was watching Chasing Amy--the film that convinced a lot of critics (mistakenly?) that Kevin Smith should be taken seriously. It's got both Ben Affleck (the lead) and Matt Damon just before they hit it big.

But what really struck me was a scene at the end between two Smith regulars, Jason Lee and Ethan Suplee. Hey, it's Earl Hickey and his brother Randy! Interesting to see them a decade before My Name Is Earl, playing very different characters. I wonder if this is how Suplee got the job--Lee knew him and suggested him for the role.
