I was watching Stay Hungry, a minor film from the 70s, best remembered for introducing a lot of people to Arnold Schwarznegger. One line stuck out. Someone asks Jeff Bridges what happens to body builders when they get old. He says "they die," but we now know they become governors.

At a party this weekend, a successful female executive made the statement that Ahnold's political success (a relative term given the current state of the state)was evidence of persistent sexism as no woman with a resume similar to his would ever be considered for such a high office.
1. You've come a long way baby, if the criticism is that XX idiots are not getting the same chances as XY idiots
2.I don't think it will be too long before we get a celebrity female governator/senator/prez (Angelina? Oprah? Jenna Jameson?)
3. I didn't realize she was so high on Gov Palin.
No woman with a resume similar to his? The guy rose to the absolute top of two highly competitive professions, through talent and hard work. And unlike most celebrities who are good at shooting off their mouths, he actually was willing to back up what he said with action.
