What Do Critics Know?

TV critics have no power since few read them and you can sample the product for free. But they still give out awards. Their prizes for 2009 are interestingly different from the Emmy nominations--perhaps it's a reaction to the Emmys.

The Program Of The Year is Battlestar Galactica. It's nice to see it pick up something, though few BG fans think its final season was its best. Best Comedy is The Big Bang Theory. The one major award where they seem to agree with the Emmys is Mad Men for Best Drama.
