Three Little Words: Not In Show

I was hoping to see a production of Animal Crackers at the Goodman while in Chicago, but the timing wasn't right. I've seen reproductions of The Marx Brothers before, and while nothing can compare to the original, the chance to hear Groucho ad lib something new can be exciting.

I did see a review in the Chicago Tribune while there. It mentioned one of the dance numbers, done to Animal Crackers' most famous tune "Three Little Words," was pretty good.

Maybe the dance is good, but "Three Little Words" is not from Animal Crackers (even though it is by Kalmar and Ruby, who wrote the score). The most famous number by far from the show--really the only song anyone knows from it--is Groucho's signature tune, "Hooray For Captain Spalding" (which contains the following):
