A Gamble

When movie stars are in trouble, they move to TV. I guess that's happened to Dustin Hoffman, who'll be in an HBO series, Luck, created by Michael Mann and David Milch. It's about the world of horseracing. (Hoffman is short, but he's not jockey short.)

Anyway, the big screen's loss is the small screen's gain. I look forward to what this combustible collection of talent will create.

These days, it seems like TV is the better work and there doesn't seem to be any shame in it.
