The Wealth Of Chick-Fil-A

This is Adam Smith, who taped himself in the Chick-fil-A drive-thru during "Appreciation Day."

I almost don't want to put this up since everyone's been piling on the guy.  To give an idea of the general feeling, as of this writing, 228 people on YouTube liked the video while 4958 disliked it.

What fascinates me is his judgment. He figures he's going to be a hero by "speaking truth to power," which amounts to being rude to a low-income worker who essentially can't talk back--though she actually makes a pretty good argument.  He also notes he feels good about himself and he's not gay (not that there's anything wrong with that).  So his video goes viral, which is it what he must have hoped for. But the virus made him sick.

The guy got fired from his job for this stunt. A little harsh, I'd say (even though he'd probably like to put Chick-fil-A out of business), but I guess they didn't want the bad publicity.  So I'm not going to be too rough on the guy.  He was childish and impolite, but people make mistakes. He just got caught taping his. I'm sorry he had to learn the hard way.
