Happy birthday, Katrina Leskanich, leader of Katrina And The Waves. The band has some success in the 80s and their name was often brought up years later in reference to Hurricane Katrina.

Did her band have an undertaker in it? Or am I thinking of Edie Brickell & the New Bohemians? Sorry I saw them around the same time in 1988-89 and have always confused them. I know what I know if you know what I mean.
According to an online version of a 1985 Spin article, Waves' drummer Alex Cooper worked in a morgue as his day job (one of the other guys drilled holes in bowling balls)
