Wham, Glam, Thank You Ma'am

As long as I'm recommending friend's books, I certainly can't forget Virginia Postrel's The Power Of Glamour (she spells it with a "u" because that's more glamorous)--available in bookstore's today.  I've already got my copy.

Bountifully illustrated, the book attempts to explain just what glamour is--a word used, or overused, to explain a variety of thing, andd often confused with the merely glitzy, or even meretricious.  And glamour means so much more than beautiful women. It can attach to buildings, machines, even professions.  But read the book if you want to really understand.
