Saw Don McLean in Lewiston, Maine as headliner for a local film festival in Spring 2012 in a community center- a deconsecrated very ornate Catholic church which had previously served the French-speaking community (of which there are quite a few in that area). Anyway Don must have thought the name of the venue, the Franco-American Center, was a sort of corporate naming rights deal because he kept deriding it during the show ("...such a beautiful place with such an ugly name.") The crowd liked Don so they sort of rolled their eyes and just enjoyed the concert (which was great)
