Computers Conquer Texas Hold'em Poker for First Time
But how do they do on online dating?
(Is Texas Hold'em tougher than chess? I wouldn't have thought so, but I admit I know next to nothing about either.)

I would think Texas Hold'em is much more difficult for a computer to master than chess, and I'd like to see a computer win in real competition. The numbers are easier in poker, but the game also includes reading the psychology of the other players. In chess, you try to make the best move, not count on your opponent to screw up. In poker, there's the luck of the draw, but that evens out in the long-run--what makes the difference is your opponent misreading the situation more than you do.
So it is like online dating.
