Stan Freberg has died. I've always been a huge fan.
He was the first celebrity I saw when I moved to Los Angeles. I wanted to go up to him and ask him about all his attacks on rock and roll--how'd that turn out?

What! No clip from "The History of the United States of America, Part I"? This may be the firat record album I purchased for myself (at a garage sale, I think). I still can sing all the lyrics and recite most of the dialogue.
Part II, which was finally released decades later, still had some good jokes and dialogue, but Freberg's ability to write a snappy jingle had declined considerably.
Daduh daduh!!! "What was that?" - "French Horns."
That may be his masterpiece, but I tried to use self-contained stuff,
