I refuse to believe Bush will be president, just as I refuse to believe Clinton will. Ain't gonna happen.
On the other hand, I look at this photo and the two things that stand out are (a) Christie needs a tailor or he's going to look short, in addition to looking like a fat guy who lost a lot of weight, and (b) boy, is Kasich a slouch.

Anyway, Based on commentary (I rarely listen to live political debates), it looks like Gov. Walker is sinking, and Gov. Kasich is rising. I need to hear more from Columbus Guy - would Kasich have a chance? Does he campaign well? Does he have skeletons in his closet?
I read that Rubio helped himself too, showing his eloquence though the format allowed only 10 second examples. And the talk is that Fiorina so outshined the rest of the happy hour debate participants, that she will be invited up to the big table.
So some combination of Rubio, Kasich, Fiorina and, if he can find some magic, Walker, is my prediction / hope for the ticket. I fear, however, that Jeb Bush will simply allow the other candidates to tear each other apart and then step in with the biggest bank roll. I even like a fair amount of what Jeb has to say, I just don't think he could win.
Before last night the smart money was on Walker, but he failed his first big test.
You take Cruz seriously? He's not even that popular within GOP circles, but there's no chance the party will nominate someone who has no chance of winning. And you don't take Rubio seriously? If he hadn't hurt himself by backing amnesty, he'd be the frontrunner today.
Refusing to see Clinton as President won't make it so. She's far and away the favorite. The only question right now should be is she more likely than not going to be the next President. So get used to it.
Naw, NEG, I wrote the post before the debate, which I didn't watch. I tried to listen to the first one on the radio but the only station I could find had too weak a signal.

DG, you ought to know I'm no Kasich fan. A country that can elect Obama can elect any potted plant, so sure he's got a chance. Heck, as Anonymous says, Hillary is the favorite. She just won't be president. The country isn't that far gone. I don't think even Trump running third party with a billion dollar bankroll would get that job done.
Different anon here. Well CG you missed a good one. Here's my stream of consciousness. Better than WrestleMania. I can't see any one of these guys getting elected but I never can. Cruz who I've heard is not likely to get reelected or even renominated in TX, seems a lot like Ann Coulter post-Palin. Somebody else has taken their shtick to the next level. Rand Paul seems to say one crazy thing for each sensible thing- you might say the same but I have a feeling we'd disagree on which things were which. Ben Carson talked about tithing. Mike Huckabee finally mentioned Benghazi and I got bingo. Got to give the Donald credit for owning up to the fact that rich guys own all the pols (though if he's scared of cunning Mexicans and pays people to attend his weddings, he may have other issues) Carly and Marco are running for the VP. Walker has always seemed underwhelming yet here he is-Hruska rule?. Poor Jeb feels like he's going to stumble into the nomination. I would hope the 9-11 families would disown Christie. Kasich seems stealthily evil though for probably different reasons than CG thinks. Who was that mannequin sitting next to Megyn Kelly- (not Chris Wallace who I see has found his dad's secret hair dye stash)- some jock?
The biggest lie Trump told (everything he said was ridiculous, of course, but only occasionally did he lie) was that rich people own politicians. Nevertheless, this is a lie dear to the hearts of so many, including anon above, that perhaps most people didn't notice it was a lie so much as his weird explanation that he paid Hillary Clinton millions just so she'd go to his wedding.
