You realize this Orlando shooter wasn't an immigrant?
Jumping to conclusions doesn't seem to be helpful even on something as inconsequential as a blog. This guy seems to hit every square in the outrage bingo game. Islamic. Check. Assault rifle check. Ant-LGBT Check. Inspired by inflammatory rhetoric. Check. wife-beater. check. Denial ? Half-check. etc....
Actually, I'm confused about the shooter's nationality. I know that he was born in the US, which gives him the right to be a US citizen, but isn't he also an Afghan citizen, having been born to two parents who were Afghan citizens (and still are?) at the time of his birth? In the hoopla over Ted Cruz's citizenship, it seemed clear that if his US citizen mother intended him to be a US citizen, then that was enough, despite being born in Canada.
I don't know what Afghan law says, but I know anyone born of a German citizen parent, regardless of birth in America, may claim German citizenship even while maintaining US citizenship. I could see the shooter having dual citizenship.
