You agree with this nonsense? Trump's appeal, limited as it is, is easy to explain. He's for strongly limiting immigration and protecting jobs, and none of the other Republican candidate were willing to go along with that. There was a strong enough plurality among potential GOP voters to get him the nomination, especially when they were all busy beating up on Rubio. All the other stuff about his alleged appeal is relatively insignificant. Without this stance, he'd have had about as much success as Herman Cain.
So go ahead and agree with Cilizza. You're free to be wrong any way you choose.
