Year Fear

In the year-end LA Weekly, the feature article is "Good Riddance, 2017!"  The sub-headline: "The year was tough on pretty much everyone in L.A., especially our homeless and immigrant people."

A few comments:

1)  A year ago everyone was cursing 2016.  Get a new act, already.

2)  The sub-headline is so close to a famous punchline mocking the mainstream media I'm surprised they ran it.

3)  I would think every year is pretty tough on the homeless.

4)  It was tough on pretty much everyone?  Really?  Someone must have had a good year.  For instance, anyone who invested in the stock market.

5)  California and Los Angeles are run by Democrats.  If things are so bad, maybe it's time for a change.
