If Gore turns out to be wrong, will he have to give the prizes back?
If he turns out to be right, should the disdainers bear extra burdens?
To answer these questions, if he's wrong, it's a major deal in how the world's most powerful people supported him and tried to build world policy around these ideas. He was then abusrdly over-rewarded for his crusading and no one should ever forget the burning shame of their arrogance. If he's right, no big deal about the minority with little power who opposed him--it's not as if they've got Nobels and Oscars to return--and in any case, we should be too busy trying to solve the problem than to waste too much time saying "I told you so."
