Or maybe payback for the infamous "butt" shots and criticism thereof earlier this year. Personally, I'm a fan of JLH but there are at least a half-dozen women on TV currently that I find sexier.
She's what's known as cute, not sexy.
I like her, but I hate to admit it but Tina Fey is a stronger candidate for me (I like dorky glasses). Of course there is also the woman on Big Bang Theory, but I can't remember her name.
Very odd you would mention Kaley Cuoco from The Big Bang Theory, since a number of my friends have noted they don't even think she's good-looking. (On the other hand, the gal who played Sheldon's sister this week was hot.)
I also find Tina Fey sexy, and not because of the glasses.
In fact, I could list a large number of women on TV sexier than Jennifer Love Hewitt--almost every show has one. But to name just two, how about Evangeline Lilly and Tricia Helfer?
Barbara Walters.
Yeah- how do they let Tina Fey get away with playing a dowdy drudge? (A: Because it works) She's a hottie with the habits and outlook of a forty-something guy. How funny would 30 Rock be if Tina really looked like the character she pretends to be?
Probably would still be great but its definitely helped by the fact we want the smart pretty girl to be funny.

J-Love-H is fine-looking and has a great ass. I don't want much TV (outside of sports and foxnews), but I also like the babe in my name is earl.
There are two babes in Earl, though I assume you mean Jaime Pressly.
My guess is if you took an honest vote of TV viewers across America, and let them vote for anyone, JLH wouldn't be anywhere near the top ten.
