Da Dark Knight
Like everyone else, I saw Dark Knight over the weekend. Parts of it were clearly filmed in Chicago.
I'm sorry, Batman should not be in Chicago. He just doesn't fit there.
PS: Some claim Gotham is Chicago. Sorry, I don't accept that.

I recognized Chicago too but there is clearly a NY feel (as there has always been for Gotham City) The references to "bridge and tunnel people" being the most obvious (& they're not talking about bridges over the stream known as the Chicago River which I recognized)
Aren't they just going for an "EveryCity" feel- I thought I recognized the Boston Waterfront in the ferry scenes. There's plenty of dirty urban decay to go around
It seemed like more of the city scenes were set in daylight in this one, making the landmarks around them more visible. I haven't seen the first one in a while but my memory is that most of the "Gotham" stuff was filmed at night.
Plus, in this one, there's no mention of the "narrows" which played such a big part in Batman Begins.
Other than that, what'd you think? Or should that be a separate post?
