One More Year And You Can Drink

The Simpsons just started its 20th season. It's pretty astounding when you think about it. A whole generation has grown up never knowing a Simpsonless world.

It's not quite as fresh as it once was, but it's still worth watching. It's been so good for so long I think we take it for granted. A run like that is unparalleled in the history of prime time.

I thought the movie was funnier than the last two or three seasons combined. I always look forward to the Treehouse of Horror episode in particular and last year's was the worst I've seen, especially the riff about the war in Iraq.

I understand that this year's episode will feature a segment where Homer tries to vote for Obama and the voting machine won't let him.

*sigh*

What about GUNSMOKE? That show never disappointed. Marshall Dillon and Miss Kitty always did... you know, I can't remember a dang thing about Gunsmoke, but it was always on. Nice to see a good show finally beat it out.
