Strategery

Obama has a lot of money, but it's getting interesting where best to spend it. All he needs to do is take a big swing state--Florida, Ohio, North Carolina, Virginia--and it's hard to imagine how McCain could win (unless he pulls a stunner in Michigan or Pennsylvania).

So here's the question. With victories looking less likely in the south, and Ohio being his best bet, does he pull money out of the others--the most painful being Florida, the biggest contested state where Obama seemed to have an excellent chance not long ago--to concentrate on the Buckeye state?

It's said not to put all your eggs in one basket, but don't spread yourself too thin either. I have no idea what he should do. But watching what he does will give a good idea of how he figures he'll do.

Did Yogi Berra ghostwrite that last paragraph for you? It was brilliant!

The lessons of John Connolly, Phil Gramm, Michael Huffington, Mitt Romney, HRC in Iowa and Obama's primary efforts in Ohio and Pennsylvania and many other examples, concentrated money is nice and potentially helpful (though maybe not always), its not determinative.
