To The Point
Perhaps the best commentary on Friday's debate comes from Virginia Postrel. Let me reprint it in full:
McCain is rambling and incoherent, and Obama keeps repeating the untruth that there's hardly any regulation on Wall Street. I want to puke.

Agreed, totally.
I thought Obama's weakest point was when asked which of his priorities would have to be sacrificed to fund the bailout, he responded by listing a dozen new or expanded programs. I mean, it was like a caricature of a tax-and-spend democrat.
Of course McCain had to respond with some foolishness about earmarks, completely blunting the effect and providing his own caricature of the out-of-touch old guy. He sounded like he was barely even listening to Obama, and the way he refused to look over at him, like Obama was some kind of basilisk, was just visually disturbing.
Arguing over Henry Kissinger when neither one really cares about him (Obama raised raised it as a gotcha and then stuck talking about it further) was the epitome of silliness
