AV POV

An American Carol was not shown to critics before it opened. Once they caught up with it, they hated it. I haven't seen it, though based on what I've heard, I'm guessing they got it right.

Still, this line from a review from The Onion's A.V. Club caught my eye:

...great satire never fits neatly within an ideological box.*

It doesn't? I thought it did pretty regularly.
