Why Would This Take So Long?
Governor Palin released her (completely clean) medical report last night. It's likely just because Dick Cheney has made me acutely sensitive to secretiveness in vice-presidential candidates, but I have to wonder why Governor Palin would wait until quite literally the night before the election to release a statement from her doctor saying she's in perfect health. I know this national campaign thing is foreign to her, but when you agree to do something as part of campaigning on October 22, doing it the night before the election sends a signal I do not like.

Also she released a reportedly clean review of her role in the Troopergate matter. Of course this doesn't really help her (this year at least) by being released at the 11th hour- it just puts her name in the headlines with words like "Ethics Investigation"
Also the quoted part of the findings don't offer that much comfort- Gov Palin & aids deny having the conversations and the fired official can produce no witnesses, therefore the conversations didn't occur. Message to Alaska governors- No witnesses and your golden.
Biden still hasn't released his brain scans, and Obama hasn't put out his birth certificate.
Possibly she released it late to avoid more of this stupidity.
"At two pages, this is twice as much information as that released by Barack Obama's doctor," was a perfectly sufficient answer to the stupidity as to content, but not as to timing.
