I Need Answers

I paged through Why Do Men Have Nipples?. Disappointing. A lot of it was interstitial, unfunny attempts at humor meant to puff up the book to proper length. Worse, the answers didn't seem to go into much depth, and some didn't even seem to actually answer the question at hand.

For this sort of thing, I'd still recommend The Straight Dope.

I don't doubt Cecil Adams' accuracy but have a hard time with his writing style at times- I find myself giving up half way through.

Another recent book in this vein which I thoroughly enjoyed (unabridged audio version) was "The Book of General Ignorance" by John Mitchinson and John Lloyd, although a bit Brit-centric. Pretty straightforward recitation of interesting facts in no particular order w/ occasional silliness that didn't detract from the whole. (NOTE on audible.com comments people who hated the book complained that it was just a recitation of facts, people gave the book high marks praised it for being a recitation of facts- got to know what you like, I guess)

Wish it had been longer.
