Stabenow In The Back

So Senator Debbie Stabenow (from my home state, Michigan, and born on my birthday, April 29th) wants to bring back the Fairness Doctrine. I realize Congress has bigger fish to fry right now, so don't expect hearings any time soon, but I understand a number of our legislators would like to see its return.

I don't ask for much from politicians. In fact, all I usually require is they don't actively work to make things worse. That's apparently too much to ask.

Some people are claiming Stabenow has a conflict of interest related to her (good-for-nothing) husband, who's worked in left wing radio. True or not, I don't care. That she wants to regulate political speech at all is the problem, no matter what the reason.
