Paul Harvey just died. He was broadcasting long before I was born. Easy to mock, with his odd pauses, heavy-handed moralising and commercials mixed with copy...



...he was still an entertaining presence. Whenever I heard him start up a "Rest Of The Story"--an anecdote followed by a surprise reveal of the famous person he was describing--I'd stick around to the end. Which reminds me of a great Simpsons' parody, which ended "and that little boy who nobody liked turned out to be...Roy Cohn."
