Crazy 4 You
Enjoyed this show performed by a local theater group tonight. The players did a great job. Tons of dancing which was amazingly well done. I frankly was surprised they tackled such a tough show. Very enjoyable. Apparently this was 1992 adaptation of the 1930s Gershwin Girl Crazy.

I saw the show on Broadway, starring Harry Groener in the 90s. It was a lot of fun. I suppose you could call it an adaptation of Girl Crazy, but totally rewritten and most of the songs from other Gershwin musicals.
Ten years earlier I saw another "new Gershwin" musical, My One And Only, starring Tommy Tune and Twiggy. I suppose every ten years they should take the songs of great Broadway composers from the 20s and 30s and build a show around them.
