Sure, the guy was a dick. But she's got more serious problems. Why lecture the guy and threaten to fire him if she should be thinking about her dad? If it takes avoiding profanity to get your dad to the hospital, shut up. You can cuss the guy out after your dad is okay.
I think he's much worse. She's under great strain while he's allegedly a trained professional. And she, for all her problems, is trying to save her dad while he seems to have no interest in doing anything after his feelings have been hurt.
Rather than deal with the problem of this desperate girl--which he should know might involve someone dying--he gets angry at her and starts to lecture her. Then he hangs up! Two weeks suspension without pay isn't enough--the guy was willing to have someone die because he felt offended (over something that wasn't that offensive, not that it matters).
When he did finally order an ambulance, he was still whining about how nasty the girl was. Unbelievable.
It is the prevailing attitude of the martinets who serve as police officers that they can abuse the public without censure.
In Boston, they have killed 2 cllege students at sports celebrations, shut down the city over a cartoon network prank, arrested an MIT student wearing a light up sweater, brokn up nsruction sites without paid OT police details and threate to disrupt and caused the cancellation of an unpopular speaker (Ayers) at a local university thus making him into martyr(Brandeis was able to get him later despite police hoopla)
