Leftover Vanity Plates Of The Month
Spotted on a Pontiac Grand Am: OBI WAN. I don't know what car Obi-Wan Kenobi would drive, but I bet it's not a Grand Am.
I saw someone with 1MADHTR. Are there other Mad Hatters?
I also saw OMEGA 6. Were there a bunch of people who wanted OMEGA, or is he just into unsaturated fatty acids? (If I could take an OMEGA, it'd be OMEGA 13.)
I also saw IAMRLV. Maybe the guy was trying to say I Am Relevant, but I don't really care.
It drove by quickly, but I swear I saw a VW with IMA GOOF.

I think its "I am Real Love" which is ickier.
I don't think I recognize these things the same way others do- for more than two years, I've been parkign near a car with the plate "LMETALYA"
I thought it was a) a headbanger ("Love Metal. YA!") or b) a Russian name.
A colleague claims its the car of a chatty person in the the building (as in "Lemme tell ya") but that's just a surmise and the "a" is wrong. Any ideas?
This is not a license plate but the Belmont Stakes is featuring a longshot called "Luv Gov"- wouldn't that have been a great plate for Eliot Spitzer?
New York lets you test your preferred vanity plate to see whether it is available and meets their censorship criteria. A friend of mine and I once wasted a half hour to see how pornographic we could get away with. The answer is, pretty dirty, so long as you're suitably obscure. E.g. BDSMLVR is available, as is IFELCH.
How about "TEABAG"
BDSMLVR is pretty obscure. I have no idea what it means.
Maybe LMETALYA is "I'm all METAL-Y inside LA."
It's I am Mr. Love. Maybe Mike Love drives the car.
Looked again at lunch and in fact its "LMETLYA" no "A" so maybe "Lemme Tell Ya" works.
(I also thought it was a sports car and further inspection shows it to be a Ford Taurus- will no longer trust my lyin' eyes)
I did think it had an awful lot of letters.

hey just a little fact...if the car that was called 1madhtr was a mini cooper and you saw it in L.A then it was Kristen Stewart from Twilight. =)
