Spare The Rod?

I don't know what to say about the Michigan Wolverines. I ran out of adjectives last year.

Penn State showed them up for the hopeless team they are, but at least we were talking about a serious opponent. Illinois should have been a joke, but they dominated Michigan. It's not the goal-line stand the started the second half--Michigan should have shrugged that off. It's the defense that can't stop anyone, and an offense which seems to be going backward.

Not that long ago I felt Michigan had turned the corner, and simply needed a couple new players to be at the top again. Now I feel we're as bad as we were last year. How long does Coach Rod need to turn things around?

As I told you before, if U-M goes 4-4 in the big10, then that would be excellent. Remember last year? They were 3-9 overall. Their only win since September 22 was against Delaware State and it is November. Next year's freshman QB is the realdeal not Tater Tot.

No matter who he is, a QB needs an offensive line and receivers who don't drop balls.
