Purple Fingers

Iraqis went to the polls yesterday. Good for them. There are bigger stories, perhaps, but it's worth stopping for a second to think about. We should remind ourselves how amazing this is. One of the most threatening, despotic regimes in the world not that long ago is now a fledgling democracy.
