Better Than Bruce
Believe it or not, Bob Seger turns 65 today. He has a nice homelife in Orchard Lake Village, but he's not retired. He's still rocking. And everyone knows why:
The song starts:
So you're a little bit older and a lot less bolder than you used to be
So you used to shake 'em down but now you stop and think about your dignity
So now sweet sixteen's turned thirty-one
You get to feelin' weary when the work day's done
Well all you got to do is get up and into your kicks
If you're in a fix
Come back baby
Rock and roll never forgets
I've always thought he should re-record this song every decade, and add ten years to thirty-one each time.

Some kick-ass truck-selling music for halftime.
On a similar age thing, does Chryssie Hynde ever do "Middle of the Road" any more?- would the line go "I've got a [grand]kid, I'm 63."
Maybe both Chryssie and Bob look back at these songs and wonder what were they thinking. They still had plenty of hellraising years left in them.
