It's Time To Abandon New Orleans
I've been watching Treme for a month, but if it doesn't pick up soon, time to get off the bus. David (The Wire) Simon, created this show about post-Katrina New Orleans. It's got a large ensemble, all of them trying to deal with their problems as the city crawls back to normality. A lot of the show, as you might expect, is built around music.
So far, this has meant unhappiness but not a lot of drama. Worse, the characters tend to be more annoying than intriguing. They also seem to have a chip on their shoulder about the city, attacking outsiders who aren't hip enough to understand it. Prickliness is not the best character trait on which to hang a series.
PS Not related, but here's some news from the Big Easy:

Looks like the newscasts are more entertaining than Treme.
Maybe they can book Ernie from NY and his sore chicken
